Knights star earns Player of the Year title
March 9, 2016 – Jacob White of the Fleming Knights has been named the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Volleyball Player of the Year.
White received the award this evening at the 2016 CCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championship banquet, hosted by Douglas College in New Westminster, B.C.
“Jacob represents the CCAA very well,” said David Munro, VP Sport Development. “He is a leader on the court where he is known for his competitiveness and fair play and he also excels off the court with strong academic performance.”
This season, White led the Knights to a 16-4 record and first-place finish in the OCAA’s East Division. He led the conference in both points per set (5.1) and kills per set (4.35). He also added 44 blocks in 68 sets.
