10 years ago students at Fleming College left their mark by voting yes in support of the building of the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. Because of their vote, students now enjoy a membership that includes:
- Access to a fitness centre including an aerobics centre, walking track, and state of the art equipment
- An aquatic centre featuring a large pool, a therapy pool, and the largest indoor water slide in the area
- 2 gymnasiums for varsity, intramural, and drop-in sports as well as academic classes, orientation sessions, and convocation.
It is your turn to leave your mark!
Voting will take place November 16th and 17th for the new outdoor recreational centre at Fleming College. These fields will allow our varsity teams to play on campus as well as provide space for intramural sports, Orientation events, concerts, outdoor movies, outdoor classes, outdoor convocation, and so much more.
You will not see an increase to your tuition. Your fee that went towards the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre will be continued to go towards the building of the fields. If you vote yes, the City of Peterborough has agreed to contribute 2.5 million into the project.
