Fleming Athletes place at the annual Peterborough YMCA 5K race.

Fleming took on local, as well as international talent at the annual YMCA Half Marathon/5 K race Sunday February 26, 2017.

In the men’s 5 k, leading the race and winning the event was Fleming’s Andy Hein who threw in a devastating kick half way through the race, which gave him a lead no one could make up finishing 1st place in 16:02. Following closely behind was Fleming’s own Riley Olesky coming in 3rd place. What was more impressive was that Fleming had 5 athletes in the top 8 overall; Justyn White 5th, Joseph Tuskin, 6th, Luis Curry 8th, and Kyle Moore 11th.

Fleming women’s team place 3rd overall as Krystal LeBreton entered the race to help fill the remaining spot left on the team. Krystal led the women’s team placing 3rd, followed closely by Madison Sloan who placed 6th, Amy Corcoran 8th and Alexandra Kazcmarek 10th.

Good Luck to the team as they prepare for the final track race of the season hosted by George Brown College on Saturday March 11th at Variety Village.
